General Description
This flexible prined circuit (FPC) is built on a 76-micron polyimide substrate with 90-ohm impedance control, specifically designed for USB connector applications. The FPC has a standard thickness of 0.20 mm and features a yellow solder mask (coverlay) on both sides, with immersion gold plating on the pads. To provide additional support, FR-4 stiffeners are incorporated at the head and tail of the circuit. The base material is sourced from Shengyi, and the entire board is supplied as 1-up flex per panel. Fabrication adheres to IPC 6012 Class 2 standards using supplied Gerber data. Each shipment contains 25 pieces.

Characteristic Impedance
Definition: Characteristic impedance refers to the resistance of high-frequency signals or electromagnetic waves during transmission relative to a reference layer. It is the vector summation of electrical impedance, inductive reactance, and capacitance resistance.
Classification:
1.Single-ended (Line) Impedance: Measured impedance of a single signal line.
2.Differential Impedance: Measured impedance between two transmission lines with equivalent width and spacing.
3.Coplanar Impedance: Measured impedance with signal lines transmitting between surrounding GND/VCC.
Determinant Conditions for Impedance Control
When signal transmission occurs in the PCB conductor, if the conductor length approaches 1/7 of the signal wavelength, it acts as a signal transmission line. Impedance control is necessary based on customer requirements, particularly for specific line widths.
