General Profile
The gold finger (connecting finger) is a connecting part between the memory bank and the memory slot. All signals are transmitted through the gold fingers. The gold finger is made up of a number of golden conductive contacts, which are called "gold fingers" because their surfaces are gold-plated and the conductive contacts are arranged like fingers. Gold fingers are actually coated with gold through a special process because gold is highly antioxidant and conductive.
At present, the "gold fingers" of motherboard, memory and graphics card are almost all tin materials, only some parts of high performance server / workstation will continue to be gold-plated. In order to ease the insertion of the PCB into the receptacle, the edge along the connector should be chamfered or beveled. The beveling angle can be 20°, 30° and 45°, tolerance +/-5°.
Advantages
1) Reduce contact resistance;
2) Movable termination becomes convenient.
3) Beautiful appearance;
