Copper_layer_3 is 35 μm, and the middle layer consists of FR - 4 Tg170 with a thickness ranging from 0.076 - 0.203 mm (3mil). Copper_layer_4 is 35 μm, followed by another Prepreg bondply - 1080 RC63% at 0.0644mm (2.5mil), then RO4003C again at 0.305 mm (12mil), and finally Copper_layer_4 at 35 μm. This stackup structure contributes to the PCB's overall performance and stability.
Material Advantages
Rogers RO4003C PCB material is a proprietary woven glass reinforced hydrocarbon/ceramics. It offers tight control on dielectric constant (Dk 3.38 ±0.05 at 10GHz) and low loss, similar to PTFE/woven glass but with the manufacturability of epoxy/glass at a lower cost. RO4003C PCB has a dissipation factor of 0.0027 at 10GHz, thermal conductivity of 0.71 W/m/°K, and a thermal coefficient of dielectric constant at +40 ppm/°C. Its CTE is well-matched to copper, and it has a low Z-axis coefficient of thermal expansion, high Tg (>280 °C), and low moisture absorption (0.06%).
