1. Overview of This PCB
This 4-layer stepped rigid printed circuit board utilizes Rogers RO4350B material-a woven glass-reinforced hydrocarbon/ceramic laminate-designed to deliver superior high-frequency performance with the manufacturability of standard FR-4 epoxy/glass processes. The board features a unique stepped outline with two distinct sections: one measuring 70mm x 50mm and the other 70mm x 40mm (±0.15mm tolerance), and a finished thickness of just 0.5mm. Compliant with IPC-Class-2 standards, this PCB is ideal for demanding RF and microwave applications where dimensional stability and low loss are critical.

Key attributes include an immersion gold surface finish for excellent solderability and corrosion resistance, with no silkscreen or solder mask on either side to minimize parasitic effects and signal loss at high frequencies. All copper layers use 1oz (35μm) copper weight, supported by 20μm via plating. The design supports a minimum trace/space of 4/7 mils and a minimum hole size of 0.3mm. Each board undergoes 100% electrical testing prior to shipment to ensure reliability and performance.

Rogers RO4350B's stable dielectric constant (3.48 ±0.05 at 10 GHz) and low dissipation factor (0.0037 at 10 GHz) make this PCB suitable for a wide range of high-frequency uses, including cellular base station antennas, automotive radar systems, RF identification tags, and satellite communication equipment. Artwork is supplied in Gerber RS-274-X format, and the board is available for manufacturing worldwide.
